Sharing of work in Paris

On the 5th of June students from Broughton High, taking part in the Understanding Cinema project and the Cinema Cent Ans de Jeunesse project shared their work with an international audience at the Cinémathèque Française in Paris.

Their film, Wednesday, concerning a school shooting, was warmly received by the audience and provoked much discussion afterwards.

The group’s hand held camera technique was much admired by the audience, as was their use of dialogue, in relation to the parameters of the long take.

On the evening of the screening a group tour of the Seine was organised by the Cinémathèque, with support from their funder EDF.
