Understanding Cinema – Coming Back Soon: Online Course

Hello to you,

Understanding Cinema will be back with you this year from April – June.

We’re experimenting with a new form this year, as the course will be delivered online as a MOOC, Massive Open Online Course.  This course will be totally free to take part in.  The course is offered by the BFI and The Centre For The Moving Image, with support from Into Film.

Details of how to join in the course will be forthcoming, but if you would like to express an interest, please feel free to send an email to our temporary email address: understandingcinema2001@gmail.com

The course will follow the Cinematheque Francaise’s 2014-15 Cinema Cent Ans De Jeunesse – L’Intervalle

Aimed at teachers, and anyone working with 8 – 18 year olds the course will also be of interest to anyone keen to expand their film making skills.

An exciting and challenging course, the sessions will be lead through Googlehangouts. Practical work will be carried out during your own time.  Support materials will be available on this blog, to enable you to make the most of the course.

It will be lead by Alasdair Satchel, Understanding Cinema Project Co-Ordinator.

Please feel free to drop us an email, or come back to this blog for more details in the near future.

Many thanks for your time and interest.
